Carmichael Enterprises Residential and Outreach Programs provide services through referrals from Community Living British Columbia. There is no charge for this service to the individuals as it is funded through CLBC. All of our residential programs provide support on a 24 hour, 7 days per week basis unless otherwise specified.
In order to ensure we are able to provide programs that are safe and responsive to each individuals needs and goals, we have developed some specific eligibility criteria for acceptance into our programs. Our organization employs the following screening process:
Once admitted to our programs every attempt will be made to ensure their placement and their program is developed to be positive, supportive, and based on the individual’s goals and interests. However, if behaviours continue to present significant risk of harm to clients or staff in the home despite attempted interventions, the resident may be released from our care. In this case, CLBC will be alerted that the setting is not appropriate so that plans can be made for a transition to an alternate setting.
Information about our programs can be found by the public on this page or in our Stakeholders Handbook which is available to parents or family members of individuals for whom we provide service, as well as our CLBC funders, and Community Care Facilities Licensing.
